Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing free learning printables for the letter “R”. I can assure you that I’m just not randomly choosing a letter each week for my toddler to focus on and learn. There is a method to my madness. I hope that you will enjoy this printable with your little learner. Can I give you my suggestion? Make it fun! There is much more that can be done with this printable besides just cutting out the letter “R” and allowing your child to paste it.
You can have your child say the name of each picture first. Have them say or repeat the letters in each word. Have them count the number of letter “R”‘s that they have in front of them and have them to name other words that either begin with the letter “R” or has “R” in them. If you do decide to do this make sure that you have a piece of paper or whiteboard so that you can write down what they say and allow them to visually see it in front of them. Visual learning is very beneficial for young learners. You can download it to print here.
One thing that was extremely funny to me when Mariyah and I did this activity was what she called the radio. I realize that most children today have no clue of what radios actually looks like. We typically don’t have them in our homes as much as we did when I was growing up, well at least not this boombox. She called it a radio thing pod. I figure she knew it was a radio because of the speakers. They resemble the small radio that we use for audio read-along books at home. Please enjoy this free printable and feel free to share it with other parents, Pin it on Pinterest, and most importantly have fun!
