Did you know that a parent is their child’s first Teacher in life? As a former Teacher and PreK advocate, I believe that learning begins in our home. I know that not all parents are sure about where they should actually begin with home learning activities for their little ones. I’ve decided to add a new edition to the Mommy 365 blog. A “Learning Activities” category will feature activities for Toddlers and Preschoolers. These weekly posts will likely remain free at no cost to you and will sometimes include printables. If you decide to use them you are likely to only need inexpensive school supplies such as glue, crayons, markers, scissors, and construction paper. Today, I’m sharing a learning activity that will help your toddler or preschooler begin to identify circles and squares. My daughter and I have been working on circles and squares for a few days. We used this color felt shapes
made by Educational Insights as well as some pre-cut shapes made from construction paper. Take a look at this short video for more ideas on how you can incorporate this learning activity into your toddler or preschooler’s fun time.
