Simple and Quick Two Strand Twist Out on Thick Type 4 Hair
The Mommy 365
What I like most about a two-strand twist out is that it looks great on any hair length and texture. If you have relaxed hair you can do a two-strand twist to create a wavy loose style. Securing each end of your hair with a roller or hair rod will give your style more definition and prevent your straight ends from unraveling.
Natural hair textures can benefit from a two-strand twist style in several ways. one way is its ability to give your hair definition and volume. You would do this by finger fluffing out your style when it’s is completely dried and untwisted or by using a hair pick to lift and fluff.
If you decide to transition from relaxed to natural hair, you can forgo cutting all of your relaxed hair until you are comfortable. The line of demarcation will be less noticeable in a two-strand twist style giving you the ability to easily blend your two different hair textures.
Wearing your hair in two strand twists are also a great protective style. I enjoy wearing them during the warmer weather months because it allows me the flexibility to play outside with my children, go swimming, and just not have to worry about my hair.

Two strand-twists are also very beautiful on shorter length hair because it takes very little effort to create a cute look without the need to add any additional length. A two-strand twist looks so beautiful on a TWA!
If you want your two-strand twist to last for a week or longer, make sure that you allow your hair to dry completely before untwisting, use a hair oil while untwisting, unravel from the bottom of each stand-up, and wear a satin bonnet or use a satin pillowcase while sleeping.
Don’t be alarmed by the shrinkage that your hair may have from a two-strand twist. It only lasts for about one or two days. Here is my most recent two-strand twist using two of my current favorite hair products. You can purchase both the Mielle Organics Leave-In Conditioner and the Xtreme Wetline Gel from Target “Drive Up” selection on the Target app.
