If you spend a lot of your downtime on your smartphone then it’s probably, yes! May is Mental Health Awareness Month and I believe that we can honor and improve our own mental health beginning with our smartphones.
I always begin with myself before I attempt to give anyone else advice. Honestly, my phone stayed in my hand for more uses than calls and texts. Updating my blogs, our business, and staying in the loop on my personal social caused me to scroll my phone more than my mind could handle. I was ready to get back to doing what I did before keeping up with life online. My phone now serves a better purpose for me and no longer a distraction or source for me to turn to when I am bored.
Using our phones when we are bored is not a bad thing, but it can distract us from our hobbies, genuine rest, and our goals. Here are 5 practical ways to detox your smartphone today and if you need freedom from your phone these suggestions will work as well!
Another very helpful way to detox your smartphone is by sanitizing it daily or weekly depending upon where you use it and store it during the day. There are so many different ways to keep your phone free my germs. Here are a few of my favorite options to keeping our phone’s and electronic devices sanitized.
I will do these things. My phone is all over the place. i am literally stressed just looked at my wallpaper and how everything is hard to find.
I have to get rid of so many photos. I hang onto them for so long and it just uses up too much memory. I could get rid of some apps too.
