10 Attainable Goals for The New Year That Don’t Require Any Money. Two of Them May Even Make You Money

Happy New Year! I love the feeling of a fresh start at life. I enjoy reading all of the new year goals shared on social media. It’s perfectly okay if you don’t have any goals for the new year. Today I’m sharing with you 10 attainable goals that don’t require any money. Two of these goals may even make you a little money.

This is actually one of my goals for the new year. God knows I always mean well, but I do struggle with getting places on time. I will do better this year or at least I will try.

Exercise is a great form of self-care, but it’s also necessary for a healthy life. Weight loss doesn’t have to be your goal. Walking 30 minutes everyday or for a few days a week is good for your heart and other organs. You don’t have to have a treadmill or acess to a gym. You can walk in place at home in front of the television or at a park. Thanks to digital creators you can get a full workout via YouTube and surprisingly even Instagram. Check out CJ Fab Fitness and Jeanette Jenkins on Instagram for videos that you can actually save for later.

Reading more will not only make you more informed, but it’s also a great source for free entertainment. You can read for leisure or for your career. Don’t feel pressured to buy books. Visit your local library first. Many libraries now offer the same new releases that you can find in any of the major retail stores. If you like it then you can choose to purchase it later. Audible books are also a great alternative for reading and they are also available for free on your local library’s website. You will need a library card which is also free.

You can serve in your community by volunteering your time with local churches. Many churches have a serve day in which they go into the community and provide needs such as food and clothing. Cutting the grass for an elderly neighbor is a great way to give back. Watching to make sure that children playing outside are safe is necessary for us all and a great way to serve your community.

Being a kind person doesn’t cost anything. None of us are perfect and we will have bad days. Sometimes we will say things that we don’t mean, but an apology should never be too much for us to give to those that we hurt. Kindness is contagious and children learn how to be kind from watching us.

I really enjoy blogging. It’s a great way for me to share things that are helping me and have helped me. Social media has made blogging really easy for anyone. It is more ideal to have a website for your blog. However, many people use Instagram and Facebook as a blog. It’s completely free and allows you to easily engage with followers. You can also gain paid brand sponsorship by using both of these platforms. The only downside is that if your account gets deleted, banned, or hacked, you will have to start over. Also, there is no such thing as freedom of speech on those platforms.

Your blog can be about anything. If you enjoy cooking you can share recipes with beautiful pictures. If you love to shop you can share posts about the outfit or help others find great sales. There is literally a blog about everything now and there is a ton of money to be made via social media. The best part is that you can do it all from your smart phone.

You can support your friends without spending any money. A phone call or text to say hello is always thoughtful. If your friend has a business send them customers. Share their posts or lend an encouraging word. I’m so thankful for all of my friends that share my blog posts. They are a blessing to me.

Fasting can be done for a variety of reasons. Two of the most popular reasons for fasting is usually for spiritual clarity and health. If you are a spiritual person and are seeking a deeper relationship with God or an answer to a prayer you may want to consider a spiritual fast. If you are desiring to gain better control of your eating habits or lose weight a health fast may be beneficial.

To learn more about spiritual fasting read a little more here. I can attests that health fasts are very beneficial to better eating habits. Health fasts don’t always require going without food. Health fasts can include going without certain foods for a period of time while intermittent fasting is only eating during certain times during the day.

This is one of my goals for the new year. I will not promise that I will call or text people every week, but I will make a better effort in reaching out to loved ones a little more. I also believe that people have to be a little more understanding that people get busy, distracted, and overwhelmed with life and responsibilities. However, it costs nothing to reach out and just say, “hello”.

Taking the time to declutter your space for the new year will not only provide a refreshing start, but it can also give you a little extra cash in your hands. Those pair of jeans that you haven’t worn in 3 years may be worth more than you think at a consignment store or on sites like Posh Mark.

I hope that your new year is filled with amazing opportunities, blessings, and good health.
