This podcast helps educate and share important information . Good to know there is black breastfeeding week to promote and create awareness.
I had such a love/hate relationship with breastfeeding. When I was a first time mom 19 years ago there wasn’t as much info and support as there is now which is awesome.
Breastfeeding was an incredibly challenging and amazing part of my early motherhood days.
I understand that love/hate relationship with breastfeeding. The most important thing is that your baby was fed and loved by you.
I absolutely hated breastfeeding and didn’t do it for long for my first and didn’t do it with my 2nd or 3rd. Such an important topic to talk about.
It is definitely a labor of love.
I never knew that there was a week for this. You have educated me on this and now I am aware. I agree that the resources in the black community are limited and to know that they continue to do it when it comes to children’s health is beyond disgusting!
Breastfeeding is not easy but it is a journey definitely worth taking. Happy to celebrate it with the other moms!
Many people hate it, but what is always best is a fed baby whether it is via formula or breast milk.
Yes, I agree, but I am happy that change is here and improving every year.
I feel the same way, Clarice!
Thanks for sharing this information.
Even though it is the law that women be given breaks to pump, I feel many women don’t feel comfortable asking or don’t know how to assert their rights. And I think anytime there’s an opportunity for women to come together and give each other support. It’s a good thing!
I am glad there is more info and help out there for moms who struggle with breastfeeding. I know it is something I had issues with.
Wow bravo mama! It was so hard for me and I almost gave up. Thank you for speaking up and spreading the word! You are an inspiration!
