ORS Olive Oil 2-in-1 Thermalast Heat Protectant Product Review

There is no good reason to hold onto split ends or ends that are in need of a good cut or trim. I choose healthy hair over lengthy hair any day. It is always my goal to use minimal heat, but when I do have to use heat I make sure to deep condition my hair before and after.

Today I am sharing my new favorite heat protectant that I used to silk press my hair.

Look at those ends pre-trim, yikes!

The ORS Olive Oil Thermalast 2-in-1 Heat Defense Shine Mist is infused with grapeseed oil and smells really good. I appreciate that it is free of parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, and formaldehyde. The ORS Heat Defense is safe for heat use up to temperatures as high 450F/232C. I would not advise that you use your flat iron or curling irons on a temperature that hot unless you are a professional.

How and When I Use This Product

A little bit of this product goes a long way. During my first use I sprayed my hair in sections before blow drying. I distributed it evenly through with my hands. Before flat ironing I apply about a quarter size amount more to my entire head of hair instead of sections and I rub it through with my hands.

Yes, to trimmed and healthy ends!

When I wear my hair in a two strand twist out or wash and go I normally allow my hair to hair dry. Lately I’ve been using the OSR Thermalast heat protectant to diffuse my hair more than I normally would. I haven’t experienced any heat damage and my hair finishes drying with a nice sheen. I think that you will also like this product, but me mindful that a little does go a long way and it can be really slippery if any gets on your floors.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this honest review. This is a product that I definitely have to try out. I love wearing my hair straight but rarely do it because the heat does so much damage to my hair.

  2. I have never heard this product before but it looks like a good one for me to try. Thanks for sharing!
